Once was a valley surrounded by beauty
Rivers and love flowed through
Mountains would frame the glorious sunsets
Seen by only a few
Now in the valley there lived a sweet fragrance
Dancing through water and air
All who have smelled it are filled with great wonder and
Dance with Life that lives there
Once came Pilgrim seeking Life's meaning
Searching for love and for peace
Troubled in heart and tired in spirit
She sought a joyful release
“Come to the edge! Life said.
“Come and swim in my joy!
Laugh! Play! Let your fears melt away.
Come to the edge today!”
The pilgrim was frightened by the words Life spoke
And said to Life, "I am afraid
My feet want to stay here on this solid ground,
The path that I've known all my days.
But my ears have heard of all you can offer –
And my eyes have seen your great ways.
My soul wants to taste in the brilliance for itself and
My heart wants to dance and play!
My heart wants to dance and play! Play!
” “Come to the edge! Life said.
“Come and swim in my joy!
Laugh! Play! Let your fears melt away.
Come to the edge today!”
The Pilgrim sat at the edge for a little while
and wiggled her toes in the sand.
She she splashed and she played in the Life
and she took a breath,
and she flew
“Come to the edge! Life said.
“Come and swim in my joy!
Laugh! Play! Let your fears melt away.
Come to the edge today!”
